Katie Hazelwood joined the Scarlett Family Foundation in 2018. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Katie worked primarily in legal operations before moving to Nashville and deciding to pursue nonprofit work full-time. She has served as a member of YWCA Girls Inc.’s Advisory Board, JPMorgan’s New Skills Ready Guiding Team, and Mayor John Cooper’s Taskforce on Youth Career Exploration. She is a graduate of Leadership Tennessee’s NEXT program.
Katie currently devotes time to supporting the Nashville Charter Collaborative as a board member and tnAchieves as a member of the Community Leaders Advisory Council. In her work at the Scarlett Family Foundation, Katie is responsible for management of the foundation’s STEM and Business scholarship program and for grantmaking associated with the Career Readiness pillar. She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy and a Certificate in Educational Policy Development from Boston College. She lives with her husband, daughter, and senior Golden Retriever in Nashville.
